Enter your availability

Once you are given access to the Helper portal. Your availability is the best way for us to know what days and times you are available to visit customers. It can be accessed through the Helper portal or the mobile app. It helps us to organise our marketing activity.

To update your availability, you will need to click on the tab Availability, through the Helper portal, and it will bring you to this page:

To start entering your availability you need to click on Edit. The availability form has four parts:

  1. Availability status: Free to take more customers or not

Please select I’m happy to take on more customers under the availability status. This step is important because, without it, your availability will not save properly and update our systems

  1. How many hours per week do you have available to visit customers?

Select the number of hours you have available using the slider or type in a number manually. The number of hours should decrease gradually as you get more customers. For example, if you are available 15 hours a week and you take on a customer who needs 2 hours per week, then you need to update your availability to 13 hours per week. Please don’t include any hours you are currently spending visiting existing customers

  1. Time off

The head office team will not communicate your time off to existing customers in any way. Please make sure you contact your customers directly, with as much notice as possible, to let them know any visits you will be unavailable for. If your customers would like cover and you don’t know any Helper who can do your visits while you are away, please “Submit a cover request” through the Helper portal 2-4 weeks before your time off.

  1. My available weekly slots

Please indicate what days and times of the week you could fit in the available hours you have.

Important:

  • Please remember to press Save for your availability to update properly.
  • You need to update/ confirm your availability every 30 days. The system will remind you about that and it won’t let you proceed with any actions (e.g. add a visit) until you have updated/ confirmed your availability.
  • You can edit your availability as often as you like, you don’t have to wait for 30 days to pass.
